Pallet Rack
Also called selective pallet rack
Every pallet reachable, every time. The baseline we size everything else against.
See details
We supply and install every major type of warehouse racking: pallet rack for full access to each position, pushback and drive-in rack when you need depth, pallet flow for FIFO rotation, cantilever for long loads, and carton flow for case picking.
Pick the system below that matches how your product moves, or call (801) 942-0493 and we will narrow it down with you in one conversation. For Salt Lake City and Wasatch Front buildings, the comparison also needs to account for forklift access, receiving space, usable clear height and the actual loads. Bring an inventory list and building drawing to a Free Design Consultation so we can compare usable positions, access tradeoffs and installation scope before you select a system.
Six systems cover almost every storage problem we see in the Salt Lake City metro and Wasatch Front. Most buildings end up using two of them together.

Also called push back pallet rack system
Two to six pallets deep from one aisle, without giving up much reach.

Also called flow through racking
Load one side, pick the other, and let gravity enforce first in, first out.

Also called drive through pallet racking
Forklift access inside deep storage lanes for bulk inventory, with fewer access aisles.

Also called cantilever warehouse racking
Arms with nothing in front of them, built for lumber, pipe, and anything a pallet can't hold.

Also called carton flow shelving
Cases advance to the picker instead of the picker hunting for cases.
See detailsSalt Lake Pallet Rack connects your storage project with Warehouse Equipment & Supplies Co. We start with the operating constraints: what you store, how it arrives, which loads must be reached first and where people and equipment need room to work. Those answers matter more than fitting the largest possible rack footprint into a drawing. A warehouse along California Avenue can need a different receiving arrangement from a building serving the I-15 corridor.
The consultation compares rack types against those facts, including the access you retain and the positions you gain. We discuss reuse where appropriate, identify details that need engineering review and separate the rack scope from delivery and installation responsibilities. You should be able to explain the proposed layout to your team, not just recognize the rack name on the quote.
For Utah projects, we confirm the actual pallet dimensions, heaviest loads, clear height and forklift requirements before steel is ordered. The layout shows beam elevations and working aisles so you can review the arrangement with your operations team.
Four things decide the answer: how many SKUs you carry, how many pallets you hold of each one, how fast product turns, and how much height the building gives you.
Many SKUs with a pallet or two each point to selective pallet rack. Several pallets of the same item favor pushback. Date-driven rotation calls for pallet flow. Large volumes of a few items in a tight footprint suit drive-in. Long material needs cantilever, and case picking needs carton flow.
Racking systems installed for warehouses across the Salt Lake City metro and Wasatch Front.

Before selecting a system, check the actual loads. Pallet dimensions, overhang, weight and bottom-board condition affect which supports will work. For long material, bundle length and stiffness set the arm spacing. For cartons, the base must run on the chosen wheels or tracks. The same warehouse can need different support details in different areas.
Next, look at the building. Measure usable clear height, locate columns and exit routes, and verify the forklift turning requirements. A drawing should show both storage and the floor needed for receiving, shipping and packing. More positions are not a gain if the new rows prevent staff from reaching them.
The free design consultation brings those facts together in a proposed layout. Ask for the position count, load assumptions and component scope in the quote, with delivery and installation responsibilities identified. Experienced installation crews we schedule and manage install the rack anchored to the floor, with load plaques for the agreed configuration.
Installation planning then defines unloading, work zones and access for the people still using the building. Moving an existing system also calls for component identification, damage inspection and a new configuration review. Warehouse Relocation Services cover teardown, labeling, transport coordination and reinstallation alongside the new layout. Call to compare reuse with replacement before arranging the move.
Each service area has a page for every rack type we supply.
Located in Salt Lake City, we serve the entire Salt Lake metro and Wasatch Front with industrial pallet racks and warehouse storage solutions.
