Cantilever Rack in Provo, UT
Cantilever rack in Provo holds lengthy materials on arms attached to upright columns. Removing front columns from the loading face makes it possible to place pipe, bar, tube, or lumber without threading bundles between vertical frames. The useful result depends on matching support locations to both material behavior and the way operators retrieve it.
In a flex building, the storage footprint is only part of the decision. Office boundaries, mezzanine stairs, and assembly stations can limit how a truck approaches a row. Sketch those fixed features before comparing storage options, then trace the longest intended load from receiving to its assigned position.
Cantilever rack support for mixed assembly stock
Collect loaded bundle dimensions and verified weights for every material family. Include packaging, separators, and any variation between receipts. The design review should address the heaviest intended condition rather than treating a typical shipment as the upper limit of the storage duty.
Choose arm length from the supported depth of the stock. Arms that project farther than needed can consume working room, while inadequate reach can leave material poorly supported. Check how forks enter beneath the bundle so the transfer does not depend on dragging pieces across supports.
Arm ratings do not describe the capacity of an entire row. Upright spacing, column configuration, base arrangement, and load distribution also matter. Review the proposed loading pattern as a complete system, including circumstances where adjacent levels or opposing faces carry unequal weights.

East Bay and Geneva Road material routes
In East Bay and along the Geneva Road corridor, light assembly tenants should reserve a direct route between long-stock positions and work areas. Provo Industrial Park layouts may also need to separate incoming bundles from outbound cartons. For Provo cantilever work, we are a division of Warehouse Equipment & Supplies Co., supplying and installing since 1997.
Choosing the working arrangement
Length separation
Give short pieces their own supported positions instead of hiding them beneath longer bundles. Retrieval should not require removing unrelated stock just to locate a needed length.
Sheet bearing
Assess whether panels need continuous bearing or closer supports. Bare arms are not a universal solution for thin sheets that can sag between contact points.
Vertical openings
Allow working clearance for the load, forks, and controlled placement. Closely spaced arms are not useful if the bundle cannot be withdrawn cleanly.
Identification
Mark locations by material family and length range. Keep labels readable from the aisle without asking workers to reach into a supported bundle.
Cantilever racking within a flex footprint
A single-sided arrangement can place long-stock storage along a suitable boundary without requiring access behind it. An island with double-sided arms offers two working faces, but both need room for handling. Compare these arrangements using the actual floor plan rather than storage volume alone.
Side-loader access may be worth evaluating where long lengths dominate movement. A conventional forklift can also serve the row when its approach, lift height, and loaded turning space are suitable. Make the comparison with the material aboard, since an empty truck path understates the required envelope.
Use selective rack for palletized goods that need individual pallet access and do not gain from open-arm support. Where stock belongs outside, specify the arrangement for exposure and ground conditions. Indoor space may be preferable for moisture-sensitive sheets or components headed directly into assembly.

Plan Provo cantilever rack placement
Send a sketch of the warehouse portion, including stairs and office walls, alongside material photographs and truck details. A cantilever storage rack discussion can then focus on bearing points, row ends, and usable approaches rather than simply filling the remaining floor area. (801) 942-0493.
